Africa Inter-Mennonite Mission (AIMM)is a network of church conferences, congregations, groups and individuals who see ourselves as part of a global family under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Africa Inter-Mennonite Mission is seeking a Church and Donor Relations Coordinator to deepen relationships with churches and donors, grow the community of AIMM supporters, communicate what God is doing among AIMM African members, and strengthen relationships between North American and African Anabaptists.

Ideal Candidate Profile: The Church and Donor Relations Coordinator will be a committed Anabaptist Christian that exemplifies a dynamic, growing faith in Jesus Christ. Familiarity with AIMM and African contexts is an asset. The coordinator will:
be experienced in fundraising and grant writing
have strong communication skills
be adept in social media communications
be able to relate holistically to churches and donors
be based in North America.
Position Description: Reporting to the Executive Coordinator, the Church and Donor Relations Coordinator fosters positive and long-term donor relationships and has operational responsibility for Africa Inter-Mennonite Mission’s donor relations. The coordinator establishes a system of strengthening relationships between partners across countries, through means like relational exchanges at all levels to increase cross-cultural understanding and connection. The coordinator has deep knowledge of the AIMM donor community and the communication tools that assist in its expansion and maintenance. The coordinator helps to build a culture of gratitude, inspiration, and accountability by stewarding donors and by providing meaningful recognition programs, impactful reports/communications, and engaging donor experiences and events.
Compensation and Benefits: US $50,000/year (negotiable) with pension and benefits (according to the AIMM Employee Policy Manual). Responsibilities: 1. Leadership & Management:
Develop strategies for digital engagement opportunities, including through social media.
Develop stewardship and engagement for major donors.
Evaluate impact reports, events, projects, email, and digital communications.
Stay abreast of industry trends in stewardship and seek to identify new methods which can be implemented.
As needed, create new or enhanced impact reporting tools and templates to ensure quality, accuracy, and uniformity of reporting by AIMM members. Explore digital solutions as needed and appropriate.
2. Donor Communication:
Ensure the creation, accuracy, timeliness, and quality of donor relations and stewardship communications, including personal communications and event collateral.
Coordinate processes and opportunities to ensure donors are thanked by AIMM staff and beneficiaries.
Create targeted impact reports that convey to donors the impact of their giving.
3. Donor Recognition and Engagement:
Identify and develop inspiring engagement opportunities for donors to strengthen donor engagement and prospecting.
Work with hosting partners to develop job descriptions for long/short-term placements, and support the sending/hosting churches involved in these placements.
Ensure gift recognition and stewardship policies and procedures are followed to provide consistency and integrity.
Plan and implement stewardship visits to individual donors.
Plan and implement visits to North America by the Executive Coordinator for the purpose of stewardship visits and events in North America.
Plan and implement the year-end fundraising campaign.
4. Database Management:
Ensure accurate, up-to-date records of donor stewardship activity.
Ensure the information gathering associated with donor stewardship and impact reporting.
5. Donor Events:
Plan and execute donor relations events that also attract new donors.
Develop strategies for virtual donor focused events and digital engagement opportunities.
Facilitate learning tours and visits between North American and African partners, to build relationships and strengthen existing partnerships
